I’ve so far gone to Budapest once, with a group of around 30 people from university. Here’s my round up of what to do and what I’d like to do next while in the city.
Things to Do
Gellért Thermal Bath for a relaxing spa experience. This is
one of the grandest spas in the city and includes an open-air pool, an
effervescent swimming pool, a Finnish sauna, and a range of other saunas and
plunge pools. I’d definitely go back again.
Hospital in the Rock Bunker is a hospital created in the caverns under Buda Castle in Budapest in the 1930.

Szimpla Kert is a really different pub which almost looks like a work of art! There’s drawings everywhere, plants everywhere, a higgledy piggeldy oasis of cool.
New York Café is a very fancy looking café and restaurant but is very expensive
Karavan for street food. Lángos is like a deep fried doughnut topped with source cream, garlic and grated cheese. I got mine from Lángos Burger.
Buda Castle via The Funicular

Sparty at Széchenyi Thermal Bath. Sparty is the one and only bath party, an electronic music club in a spa at night. Drinks are also served in the pool.
Halászbástya (Fisherman's Bastion) which looks impressive alone but is a great (and free!) view over the city. An alternative to this for city views can be found at Zugligeti Libego, a mountain cable car.
There was a cute handmade market around Gozsdu udvar, 1075
Gelarto Rosa is a place for some cool looking rose shaped gelato
Next Time
I’d like to go on the mountain cable car Zugligeti Libego.
