Welcome to Natalie Lamb's website.

I am the Innovation Delivery Manager at Spring Innovation. In this role I play a pivotal role in accelerating innovation within the water industry. My primary responsibilities involve expediting innovation trials and fostering a culture of cross sector knowledge sharing to prevent duplication of work. To streamline the innovation process, I work closely with water companies (both on an innovation level and an operational level), the supply chain and academia. I'll explain more about my job and the technologies I work with in future posts.

I really love working on innovation and research in the water industry. I love the talking to people, the presenting, the technical knowledge, the travelling, the site visits but most of all I find trying to make water more sustainable the most rewarding bit.

I also have a keen interest in communicating my ideas and thoughts to others in a way that anyone can understand- not just scientists. I think, what is the point of being an expert in an area if you can never talk to others about what it is you do? I love being a part of the Rising Smart Water Professionals Ambassador Programme, planning events with the Institute of Water, representing the UK with the International Water Association and being a STEM Ambassador to talk to people about my work, get people valuing water more and to start the conversation about science in general.

My website consists of a series of different blogs, with tabs:
  • My PhD: An overview of my PhD and academic research.
  • Water Blog: A series of helpful introductions to the water sector.
  • Training Blog: Professional development learnings I have had.
  • Rising Stars Blog: My experiences on the Institute of Water Rising Stars programme.
  • Travel Blog: My personal travel blog for travel tips, advice and thoughts.

You might find the search bar helpful if you are looking for a particular topic (e.g, "CV" or "Flow Cytometry") as the content can be quite varied.

I hope you find it helpful.
